The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, like many events throughout Canada and around the world, continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. The health and safety of our patrons, staff, exhibitors, competitors, partners and the community at large are our top priorities, and we will adhere to all recommendations put forward by the government and health officials.
“We understand and appreciate the special place that The Royal occupies in the hearts of many Canadians. For 98 years, The Royal has been a mainstay on the Canadian event calendar and a cherished annual tradition for many families. We have every desire to open our doors to the public this November, but must do so with the safety of everyone in mind. We will continue to look to our leaders in government and healthcare for their guidance on the best path forward for everyone involved. We know that The Royal represents an important business opportunity for many in the agricultural, equestrian and food industries and sympathize with them during this time. We take our responsibilities to them seriously and are making decisions regarding the 2020 Fair with the well-being of everyone in mind.” Robert J. Flack, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
As the Province of Ontario starts to reopen, under the direction and guidance of The Royal’s Board of Directors, Royal staff will continue to monitor the province’s progress toward the established benchmarks regarding the 2020 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. We will issue further statements as determinations are made.
