The third event in the eastern region of the 2011 Jump Canada Young Horse Series was held June 29 to July 3 at Beaulieu’s Summer Classic II in Ste-Justine-de-Newton, QC.

In the Seven and Eight-Year-Old Division, Francois Lamontagne of St-Eustache, QC, rode Underground des Hauts Droits to victory.  The pair enjoyed two clear jumping rounds but incurred two time faults after crossing the timers in 53.04 seconds to exceed the 52 second time allowed.  Owned by Ferme Lamontagne, the seven-year-old Hannoverian gelding was bred in Belgium and is by For Pleasure out of a Nabab de Reve mare.

Nicolas Bayzelon of Carignan, QC, and Lazer HB, placed second after having the first fence of the triple combination down in the opening round of competition.  The seven-year-old bay Luxembourg gelding is owned by Francois Bayzelon.  Earlier in the season, the pair won the Seven and Eight-Year-Old Division at Concours Hippiques du Parc in Blainville, QC, and placed second place at the Concours Hippique de St-Lazare in St. Lazare, QC.  By Landslide and out of a Queran mare, Lazer HB was bred by HB Farm in Ste-Clothilde-de-Horton, QC.
