The Jump Canada Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Gala, presented by BMO Financial Group, will welcome new champions in three categories. The Liberty Grand in Toronto, ON, will once again host this year’s event on Sunday, November 8, 2026.
This year’s celebrated inductees will be:
Rider – Mac Cone
Builders (Individual) – Barbara Mitchell and John “JT” Taylor
Horse (Show Jumping) – Texas
The 14th edition of the Jump Canada Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Gala will be part of a black-tie reception and dinner, including live music, held in the elegant Governor’s Room at Toronto’s Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex at Exhibition Place.
“Canadians have a right to be proud of our industry,” said Mark Samuel, Chair of the Jump Canada Hall of Fame committee. “We have amazing accomplishments to celebrate and stories to share. It is therefore important to gather and to take a moment to reflect, and to be inspired. This year we celebrate our riders, our builders, and the central player in our industry, the horse. I look forward to seeing you all in November.”
The Jump Canada Hall of Fame Gala has traditionally been a sell-out event, and table sales are once again expected to be swift. Videos commemorating each inductee’s contributions to the sport are a highlight of the event, and friends and associates present the distinct Hall of Fame awards, making for a very special evening celebrating the sport’s greatest memories.
In addition to the Hall of Fame inductions, the annual EC Jumping Committee awards will be presented in the categories of Official, Owner, Sponsor, and Volunteer, allowing recipients to celebrate their achievements with colleagues and peers.
The Jump Canada Hall of Fame was created in 2006 to recognize outstanding contributions to Canadian hunter/jumper sport. To date, 67 champions have been welcomed into the Hall of Fame, including 22 horses and ponies, 30 humans, nine organizations, and six teams.
