An FEI Endurance ride was held in Millbrook, ON at Cayuse Creek Ranch September 14, 2014, and many Canadian riders earned personal bests and qualifying times.
In the CEI2* 120 km race, the top placed Canadian rider was Wendy Benns of Pontypool, ON riding Flirt With Fyre, her eight-year-old Arabian cross mare, in a time of 8:13:21 for sixth place. Dessia Miller of Berwick, ON was seventh in a time of 8:25:14 riding Amber Kiera, her 10-year-old Arabian mare. In 10th place was Kimberley Woolley of Finch, ON, with Schakka Khan, her eight -year-old Arabian mare, in a time of 10:14:53, while 11th spot went to Monica Grundmann of Bainsville, ON in a time of 10:15:00 with Excalibur Legend, her 14-year-old Arabian cross. Wendy MacCoubrey was 12th in a time of 10:15:55 riding Goin for Gold, Lynda Townsend’s eight-year-old Anglo-Arabian gelding. Riding Just Unexpected, Teresa Blake Finnerty’s 11-year-old gelding, Angela Lavallee of Anola, MB finished in 13th place with a time of 10:36:04. Rounding out the Canadian entries in the CEI2*120 km race was Nancy Zukewich and Serious Moonlight, her 11-year-old Arabian mare, in 14th spot.
In the CEIYJ2* 120 km race, Katya Levermann of One Hundred Mile House, BC was second in a time of 10:00:56 riding Agils Golden Indy, Townsend’s seven-year-old Arabian gelding. Laura Austin of Millbrook, ON was third (10:14:05) with her 13-year-old Anglo-Arabian mare Good To Go CCA.
Sarah Cuthbertson of Georgetown, ON, won the CEI 1* 80km in a time of 6:19:47 riding her six-year-old Arabian cross gelding, Cricklewood. Second place (6:20:24) was awarded to Amanda Jansen Van Doorn of Alliston, ON, riding Angel, Brenda Harrison’s nine-year-old Standardbred mare. In the CEIYJ1* 80 km, Savanah Wilson of Kemptville, ON won the ride with WRR Victorian, her eight-year-old Arabian gelding.
