The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) is proud to announce that it has renewed its partnership with Meydan for the title sponsorship of Jumping’s premier team competition, the Meydan FEI Nations Cup™. The deal covers the 2010 season.
Meydan is the name behind the United Arab Emirates’ landmark racecourse, the iconic new green 67 million square feet, integrated development, whose vision is to be ‘the lungs of Dubai’ and its environmental voice has the horse at its very heart. The magnificent setting was the home to the 2010 Dubai World Cup, with a state of the art racetrack and also featuring equestrian facilities as part of a major business and conference district.
One of FEI’s most prominent series, the 2010 Meydan FEI Nations Cup™, which will take place from 13 May to 6 August, will feature prestigious national Jumping teams competing at eight of the best venues throughout Europe with a final event at the world famous Dublin Horse Show.
Meydan’s Commercial Director, Mr. Mohammad A.Nasser Al Khayat, said, “2010 is our second year as the title sponsor of the Meydan FEI Nations Cup™. The first season proved to be an exceptional opportunity to promote Meydan as the new standard for the business and equine world to a wider international audience and we look forward to new opportunities of showcasing Meydan to the world.”
“The FEI is delighted to continue its cooperation with a visionary company of Meydan’s caliber,” FEI Secretary General Alex McLin declared. “This partnership reflects the potential of this historic series and is crucial for the further development of our sport. The synergy between Meydan and FEI equestrian sport of the highest quality is obvious and we are looking forward to a continued mutually beneficial relationship.”
“The continuation of what has been a very fruitful partnership last year will allow us to further develop the series, expand the marketing platform and increase Meydan’s visibility internationally,” FEI Executive Commercial Director Carsten Couchouron further commented.
