This year, the Oldenburg Elite Broodmare Show was thrilling when held for the first time in the Reiterwaldstadion of the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta. Numerous Oldenburg champion mares have already made the leap into the international top sport. Also this yearโ€™s Oldenburg best mares impressed with a bombastic presence and movement brilliance.

The Champion Mare Casey, born 2016, by Sir Donnerhall I out of Cโ€™est bon by Fรผrst Heinrich โ€“ Rubinstein I was crowned. The primaballerina assoluta from the traditional breed of Paul Wendeln from Garrel/Lower Saxony and owned by son Peter Wendeln comes from the successful Oldenburg dam line of Cinderella. The Champion Mare is sister of the licensed Sir Heinrich OLD, German Champion of six-year-old dressage horses, to the 2016 Champion Mare and German Champion Candy OLD, the German Champion Caty OLD and the German Champion and Reserve Champion Mare 2012 Cindy OLD. The outstanding mare achieved an overall score of 8.67 in her mare performance test.

The title of the Reserve Champion Mare was awarded to Ronja Rรคubertochter, born 2017, by Bon Coeur out of Rรคubertochter by Romanov Blue Hors โ€“ Farewell I, bred and owned by Friedrich Kuhlmann, Neuenkirchen/Lower Saxony. Sire Bon Coeur was a premium stallion at his licensing and is internationally victorious up to Intermediaire I under Swedish Caroline Darcourt. Bon Coeur also produced the OL Champion stallion Bellany from last year. All three sires in the falling pedigree were successful in advanced level on the dressage arena.
