Kristjan Good of Campbellville, ON, swept the top three placings in the $10,000 Canadian Hunter Derby Series Open Hunter Derby, presented by Pepsi, on Friday, July 12, during the CSI2* Ottawa International I at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa, ON.

Good, 30, and Chantilly Lace were the defending champions of the class, and they repeated their winning performance on Friday evening, topping the class with a base score of 88 and 19 total high option and handy bonus points for an overall score of 107.

Coming the closest to the score earned by Chantilly Lace, an eight-year-old Canadian Sport Horse mare sired by Cabardino and owned by Shannon Walter, was another of Good’s mounts, Salvo RSF. Good and the seven-year-old Oldenburg gelding, sired by Sir Gregory and owned by Cydney Pavan, were the first entry to contest the Rob Carey-designed course set on the spacious grass grand prix field, and they set the score to beat at 104, including a base score of 85.
