Riding her 13-year-old German-bred gelding, Let it Bee, Kathryn Robinson, who currently resides in Kettering, UK, finished in seventh place overall at CCI 4* Les Etoiles de Pau Three Day Event, in Pau, FRA, held October 23-26, 2014. In addition to the 2014 World Equestrian Games, there are only six CCI 4* competitions, which is the highest level of international eventing, held world-wide.
Competing at Pau for the third time in their career, Robinson and Let it Bee were sitting in 15th place following dressage with a score of 50.5. With 18.4 cross country time penalties and eight show jumping faults added to their score, Robinson and Let it Bee earned a final, three-day total of 76.9, which was good for seventh.
“I was quite worried about going to Pau as this event has not been a lucky event for me, but I tried to stay positive and remember all the great preparation,” said Robinson, who posted her best four star result of her career at Pau. “I couldn’t be more happy with the way Let it Bee coped with the challenging questions of Pau four star.”
Ingrid Klimke of Germany won the competition riding Horseware Hale Bob on a score of44.1.
