Ian Roberts of Port Perry, ON, suffered a fractured pelvis, concussion and a large hematoma on his abdomen as the result of a fall from Faolan in the CIC3* at the Volvo Bromont CCI3* Three-Day Event on June 8th.
The bay Irish sport horse gelding owned by Kelly Plitz fell after jumping fence 17, but was not injured. Roberts, who had been in fourth place following dressage with 52.50 penalty points prior to the accident, is expected to remain in hospital for a week.
