Holger Hetzel, reputed German trainer and Nations Cup rider, is hosting an international version of his Sport Horse Sales in the pandemic year 2020. On November 21, the next Hetzel collection of exceptional jumping horses will be going under the hammer at his equestrian centre when the auction starts at 9 pm CET. This year’s collection includes 13 five to eight year olds with impressive track records, including top-level wins and international placings.
“This year we decided to focus on competition-ready youngsters. And we’ve expanded our auction service portfolio to cater to foreign customers who are affected by the coronavirus travel restrictions,” said Hetzel.
The try-outs have already started, with the opportunity for customers to either try out the horses in person or arrange for a live and personalized online demonstration. Competition videos of all the horses are available by request, and customers can also arrange try-outs by talent scouts. “We’re trying to maximise the transparency for potential buyers despite all the coronavirus restrictions,” added Hetzel, explaining the new services.
A number of changes have also been made to the auction event on November 21, which is taking place in hybrid auction format. In addition to the limited number of guests attending the auction in person to ensure compliance with the Coronavirus Regulation there will be a remote online bidding opportunity.
Customers who would like to attend the event in person should register as soon as possible. The auction catalogue is now online at www.holger-hetzel.com/collection.
