There were scenes of joy and celebration this afternoon at Tattersalls International Horse Trials and Country Fair as Great Britain’s William Fox-Pitt took to the podium for the tenth time. Fox-Pitt, who was returning to the form of his life after his recent accident, followed up on his win in the CCI1* yesterday, by landing Eventing Ireland CCI2* class riding Catherine Witt’s Secret Knight. The pair went straight into the lead after dressage on 39.70 and maintained the lead right throughout the competition on a clean sheet.
In second place was New Zealand’s Jonelle Price and Cooley Showtime on a clean sheet and finishing 39.70 and in third place was Great Britain’s Oliver Townend and Ridire Dorcha on a score of 42.00.
