FEI World Rankings for November 2024

Here is a snapshot of the main movers and shakers for the month of November 2024 in the senior World Rankings.

Jumping: Henrik von Eckermann consolidates his dominance

There are no changes in the top four, as Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) remains at the top of the rankings for yet another month with a total of 3,455 pts, followed by Swiss athlete Steve Guerdat (3,174 pts), Britain’s Ben Maher (3,087 pts) and Kent Farrington (USA) with 2,953 pts. Canadian women continue to lead the way over the guys, with Erynn Ballard in 22nd place, continuing to be the top female rider in the world rankings ahead of Tiffany Foster (24th, although her 2nd-place finish in the World Cup at the Royal will factor in at the end of the month). Amy Millar sits in 70th place, with Ali Ramsay 72nd.

Dressage: Werth leads, Freestyle Bounds to the Top

Germany’s Isabell Werth (2,062 points) remains in first position for the fourth consecutive month. Trailing just 30 points behind is Denmark’s Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour (2,032 points), who climbs to second place after surpassing Charlotte Fry (GBR – 1,955 points) and Dinja Van Liere (NED – 1,897 points).

After climbing 51 spots, Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour’s mare Mount St John Freestyle is the new leader of the horse ranking, with 2,032 points. Wendy de Fontaine is now second with 1,982 points, while Glamourdale (1,941 points), Hermes N.O.P. (1,816 points) and Fame (1,806 points) drop one position each to complete the top five.

For Canada, Naima Moreira Laliberté has edged up from 103rd to 96th, while Camille Carier Bergeron has dropped a bit to 105th. Ariana Chia sits 116th and Jill Irving is 123rd.

Eventing: Tim Price goes after Tom McEwen’s number one

Great Britain’s Tom McEwen (552 points) remains the leader of the FEI Eventing World Athlete Ranking. Tim Price (NZL – 536 points) is closely chasing the leader after surpassing Rosalind Canter (GBR), who’s now third with 487 points. Belgium’s Lara De Liedekerke-Meier (413 points) maintains the fourth position, while Julia Krajewski (GER) makes it back to the top five after climbing seven positions on 402 points.

There is just one Canadian remaining in the Top-100: Waylon Roberts in 86th place. Katie Malsek is 105th and Karl Slezak had dropped to 142nd.

Driving: Exell, Schneiders and Schiltz solid leaders.

There are no changes at the top of the FEI Driving World Rankings. In the Four-in-Hand, World Champion Boyd Exell (AUS) continues to maintain his strong leadership with 210 points. Canadians Gerben and Jordan Steenbeek are 54th and 64th, respectively. Germany’s Dennis Schneiders (96 points) holds the top spot earned a month ago in Pairs; top Canadian in this category is Eugen Hug, 108th. Luxemburg’s Marie Schiltz holds the number one spot on 89 points in the Singles category; former #1, Canadian Kelly Bruder, remains in 3rd place.

Endurance: Al Kitbi maintains number one

Salem Hamad Saeed Malhoof Al Kitbi (UAE) remains number one (1,308 points), followed by France’s Virginie Atger with 1,276 points. Her compatriot Melody Theolissat completes the top three with 1,224 points. Canada’s top-placed endurance competitor is Sophia Donovan, 297th.
