FEI General Assembly 2018 gets underway in Bahrain

The FEI President opened the first in-person meeting of the FEI Bureau at the FEI General Assembly 2018 in Manama (BRN) thanking members who are leaving.

The FEI President, Ingmar De Vos (BEL), opened the first in-person meeting of the FEI Bureau at the FEI General Assembly 2018 in Manama (BRN) with a personal vote of thanks to members who are leaving the FEI Bureau.

John McEwen (GBR), outgoing Chair of the Veterinary Committee, and Hanfried Haring (GER), Chair of FEI Regional Group II, have both been members of the FEI Bureau since 2006 and are finishing their terms in office today. Two absent members were also thanked – Brian Sheahan (AUS) who retired last month as Chair of the Endurance Committee due to ill health, and Bob Thompson (USA), Chair of the Reining Committee since 2010.

The President also expressed his thanks to His Excellency Sheik Khalid Bin Abdulla Al Khalifa (BRN), FEI 1st Vice President and Chair of FEI Regional Group VII, for hosting the General Assembly in Bahrain.
