The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair has announced that they will be going digital for 2020. After the difficult decision to cancel the Fair this November, organizers set about creating an event that will bring ‘Loyal Royals’ together to celebrate the best in Canadian agriculture, equestrian sport, food and agri-food innovation.
You can explore, learn, cook, compete and GET AGRICULTURED this November 10-14 from the comfort and safety of your own home or classroom. Best of all, it’s free for everyone! The Royal and partners are developing what promises to be an amazing virtual platform that covers agriculture sustainability, equestrian excellence, farm innovation and technology, local food, food competitions, careers in the agri-food industry, urban agriculture, chefs showcasing nutritious recipes, and much more.
With something for everyone, the virtual experience will include interactive activities, webinars, videos, and Q&A sessions. Stay tuned as more details become available at royalfair.org over the coming weeks and be sure to register for free for The Royal Agricultural Virtual Experience this September 21.
Introducing the Stallion Showcase
Attention Canadian Breeders! The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is keenly aware of the important role that winning a breeding class at The Royal Horse Show plays in the advertising and promotion of your breeding stallions while highlighting the success of their descendants. As this has been a difficult year for many breeders, The Royal Horse Show is providing the opportunity for Canadian breeders with horses at stud in Canada the opportunity to be featured in their online publication, The Stallion Showcase, free of charge. It will be made available in conjunction with the “Virtual Royal” presentation in November.
The following breeds will be featured:
• Belgian
• Clydesdale
• Percheron
• Welsh Pony
• Sportpony
• Thoroughbred
• Canadian Sport Horse
(All stallions submitted must be owned or leased by Canadian citizens and be standing at stud in Canada. Submission Deadline: September 28, 2020)
