Equine Canada (EC) is pleased to announce the 2015 EC Board of Directors, as elected or appointed during the 2015 EC Annual Convention, held March 24-30 at the Crowne Plaza Gatineau-Ottawa in Gatineau, Que.
First and foremost, EC would like to congratulate Al Patterson on his re-election as EC President for 2015.
“It is an honour and a great pleasure to have been re-elected as President of Equine Canada,” said Patterson. “The upcoming year will be extremely important for this organization and I look forward to working alongside the new board as a catalyst for positive change.”

Once assembled, the 2015 EC Board held their first meeting on the final day of the EC Annual Convention where they engaged in a dynamic session on governance, reviewed the strategic and operational priorities for the organization, and devised an action plan for EC to transition under the new Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (CNCA).
“Equine Canada is fortunate to have such a knowledgeable and passionate group of people on the 2015 Board of Directors,” commented EC CEO, Eva Havaris. “The diversity of experience and unwavering commitment to organizational excellence amongst the board will be critical to our success as an organization going forward.”
