The MARS Bromont CCI kicked off Wednesday afternoon with the first horse inspection at the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park in the picturesque rural town of Bromont, Quebec.
Long format horses in four divisions and representing four nations presented their horse to the Ground Jury and FEI veterinary delegate for inspection.
In all, four horses were held at the jog. In the U25-L, Marvin, ridden by Emalee Bodimeade (CAN), was not accepted on reinspection. Lendal Lehari’s (CAN) CCI2-L mount Darcy and Cinzano 87 ridden by Maddie Hale (USA) in the U25-L both passed on second presentation. Jessica Phoenix (CAN) chose to withdraw Humble GS before their CCI4-L inspection.
Between the withdrawn horse and those that did not pass inspection there there are now 83 horses in the long format divisions going forward to dressage.
The final inspection on Sunday morning will also include the short format CCI4 horses.
Dressage competition begins Thursday morning at 8:40am with the test ride in both rings one and two.
Entrance to Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park is free for spectators.
