Australian online entry and paperless scoring system Nominate made its North American debut at several equestrian competitions in Canada in 2019 and 2020 including Caledon Dressage at Angelstone, Southlands dressage, Oakhurst Farm, Strathgartney and Wits End horse trials, among others. Under the name Compete Easy, the entry and scoring software is revolutionizing the processing of information for both equestrian and non-equestrian sport competitions. On January 1st, 2021, Compete Easy opened a branch office in Canada to support the software’s rollout in the western hemisphere.

Nominate has announce the addition of Helen Richardson, based in Ottawa, to the Compete Easy team in North America. With 30-plus years of equestrian experience in organizing and scoring for dressage, eventing and hunter-jumper competitions, Helen will act in Canada as on-the-ground support for the Compete Easy customer base. Helen’s extensive background in software support and customer success roles and most recently, as Coordinator of Technical Programs – Coaching & Education at Equestrian Canada, provide her with a unique skillset that combines a thorough knowledge of both the equestrian and sport industry and software development.

“As a sport enthusiast, finding software that is flexible, widely available, simple to implement and allows competitions to manage registration, competitors and scoring has been a game changer for our team at Oakhurst Farm. Using the Compete Easy tools allowed our competitions to simplify and shorten the entry process, provide paperless scoring tools for judges and officials and have competitors follow live scoring throughout. I’m excited to join the Compete Easy team and help competitions in Canada upgrade their event management quickly and simply, changing the sport experience for event organisers, competitors and spectators at every level,” says Richardson.
