Canadian show jumpers enjoyed a successful campaign in Mexico this weekend at the CSI 4* Coapexpan. Highlights included tying for second place in the $1,500,000 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ plus top finishes in the Grand Prix Veracruz and 1.50 Grand Prix.

The Canadian team, comprised of Yann Candele, Elizabeth Gingras, Tiffany Foster and Eric Lamaze, tied for second with the United States in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™, held April 29th. Both Canada and the US finished with 12 faults, and the host nation, Mexico, won with a total of eight faults. The Canadians added 90 points to their league standing, though they remain in third with a total of 140 points behind Mexico (190) and the US (185). El Salvador rounds out the league. They did not field a team at this event, however, and remain in fourth with 45 points.

Individual Canadian riders had a very successful weekend topping the leaderboard in most classes.
