The Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association (CWHBA) Stallion Service Auction (SSA) is an annual event that gives horsepeople the opportunity to breed to some of the best CWHBA-approved or licensed breeding stallions. This auction taking place Feb 16-20 is a fundraiser for the local CWHBA chapters and the National organization where 50% of the funds raised go directly to the following year’s foal futurities; the rest is used to fund member programs. Proceeds from the sale of non-semen items go to support the Young Breeders Team at this year’s International Championships in Denmark, as well as to support our local Chapters.

CWHBA-registered foals by a nominated stallion born the year following the SSA will be eligible to compete in local Foal Futurities.

This auction provides:

• An opportunity to breed to some of the best breeding stallions around
• Bids start at 50% of the advertised service fee with no buyer premium
• Anyone can register to bid
• Foals will be eligible to be registered with the CWHBA and compete in a provincial foal futurity
• Successful bidders have a complimentary nomination in a provincial foal futurity
• Participating stallion owners have a complimentary nomination for one CWHBA foal in a provincial foal futurity (this is transferable)
