As the lead-off rider, Foster had two rails and a time fault, followed by Vince, who made her debut on the Canadian Show jumping Team, with 12 faults, which was the first round drop score. Asselin had a clear first round, while Carlsen received eight faults. Following the first round, Canada had a score of 17 faults, which had the team in sixth position.

Canada rebounded in the second round with Foster incurring two rails for eight faults, Vince had one time fault, Asselin dropped one rail and added a time fault for a second round team score of 14 to move them up to fourth place overall. Carlsen’s second round was the drop score with 24 faults. The Canadian Team had a two-round total of 31 faults.

Host nation Spain won the Nations Cup with a two-round total of eight. Sweden was second with 12, followed by Italy with a score of 21.

Riding Whitney, a nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare owned by Artisan Farms LLC and Torrey Pines Stable, Foster also finished in 10th place in the 12’000 € 1.50m Prueba No. 8 Trofeu “la Caixa.”
