Oldenburg fans from Canada and Australia secured the top-priced foals at the 29th Oldenburg Online Elite Foal Auction.

A Kjento daughter led the price list in Vechta: Kir Royal by Kjento – Vivaldi – Royal Hit, bred by Günter Söhnel from Gehrde, was knocked down to an unnamed international dressage stable in Canada for 33,000 euros. Her sire is double World Young Horse Champion Kjento, ridden by Charlotte Fry from Great Britain. Her granddam and Brillantring mare Rosenprinzessin is the sister of Darina by De Niro, dam of three licensed stallions: Glock’s Energy by Escamillo, Kilian as well as Schneefuß/Susanne Mohr, Intermediaire II successful, both by Sir Donnerhall I.

The second top-priced foal, sold for 27,000 euros, is Viva Christ by Viva Gold – Christ – Samarant, bred by the breeding community Schmitz-May from Hetzerath. The sire and Weihegold grandson Viva Gold caused a sensation with his first licensing crop; the colt’s dam, Chanel Mademoiselle, is sister to the licensed Expresso by Escolar. This stallion prospect will move to an Australian grand prix rider.

Four of 22 auction candidates were bought by Oldenburg friends from abroad. In the future, they will bring joy in Australia (1), Canada (1), Sweden (1), and the USA (1). The 29th Oldenburg Online Elite Foal Auction achieved an average price of over 11,000 Euros and a turnover of 249,000 Euros.
