Competing for Canada were Kara Chad of Calgary, AB, Tiffany Foster of North Vancouver, BC, Elizabeth Gingras of Edmonton, AB, and Eric Lamaze of Schomberg, ON.

Foster, who helped the Canadian Show Jumping Team claim the team gold medal at the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games last month, was the pathfinder for Canada over the track set by FEI 4* course designer, Avelino Miravalles Rodriguez of Spain. Next in for Canada was Chad, who made her impressive senior team debut in 2014 by leading Canada to victory in the CSIO 4* Coapexpan in Mexico. Paired with Zamiro 16 (Zenturio x Landstreicher), a 15-year-old Sachsen-Anhaltiner gelding owned by Stone Ridge Farms LLC, she lowered two rails for eight faults.

Gingras also had two rails, both coming early in the course, with Zilversprings (Silverstone x Emilion), an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by B Gingras Equestrian Ltd., who was also her mount as alternate for the Canadian Show Jumping Team at the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games.

Team anchor, Lamaze capped off the Canadian performances on a high note, achieving a clear round aboard Fine Lady 5 (Forsyth x Drosselklang II), a 12-year-old Hanoverian mare owned by Artisan Farms LLC.
