Great Britain show jumping team member Michael Whitaker was injured in a fall off a horse at his Nottinghamshire farm on July 25th, suffering a cracked rib and bruises. The resilient 56-year-old rider was not down for long, however, planning to ride at Hickstead on Saturday, July 30, although he will have to miss Friday’s Nations Cup.
Whitaker is set to ride Gary and BeverleyWiddowsons’ 11-year-old grey stallion Cassionato at the Olympics in Rio.
