The British Equestrian Federation has announced that it does not accept the FEI’s decision to relegate Great Britain, Belgium and Italy from the 2010 FEI Nations Cup top league and will be appealing the decision.
Following the league final, Great Britain and Belgium tied for eigth place and Italy finished in tenth. The rules state that the 9th and 10th placed Meydan FEI Nations Cup™ teams are relegated to the Promotional League whereas the two best placed teams following the Promotional League Final move up the Meydan FEI Nations Cup™. There were no provisions for teams tying.
