After Hong Kong and Paris, The Auction® is back for the end of the year and presents an outstanding online “2020 Winter Sale” to be held from December. 10-12 This sale features a unique catalogue of Europe’s emblematic bloodlines and talents including young and experienced performers, approved stallions, one yearling and exclusive embryos, all with remarkable origins and aptitudes.
The “2020 Winter Sale” collection is the result of a rigorous selection process carried out throughout the season by The Auction®; drastic choices made with the aim of offering the market lots that meet the highest standards.
Whether you are an international rider, professional or amateur, junior or young rider with international ambitions, investor and/or “promoter” of young horses, man or woman, breeder or horse dealer, the catalogue of the 2020 Winter Sale, the sixth edition of The Auction®, has the potential to fulfill multiple desires.
After a difficult year, marked by the pandemic and the cancellation of most of the international events, it is more than ever time to prepare and build for the future and invest in an exceptional offer of outstanding sport horses.
On the performance side, the choice could not be more diverse. From the 4-year-old who took his first steps this year on small courses to the confirmed 11-year-old who counts a good number of results in CSI, every rider will find a horse to suit his needs. The CSI 2* winner VDL Groep Elexia (by Calvaro Z), for example, seems to be the ideal mare to launch an international career. Others will be seduced by the spectacular paper of Montego Z, a daughter of the vice-world champion Mylord Carthago and the dam of the legendary Taloubet Z. Other lots of 6, 7-year olds, such as Dagada des Grevis (by Cardento), the approved stallion Carrément J & F Champblanc, Gjamaika Song (by Cristallo) or grey gelding Avecoli are ready to set off on 1.40 events: they have the experience and the results.
Among the less-experienced high potential generation, young approved stallion Casalento PS, Nina, daughter of Numero Uno, 4-year-old 2020 Bristish Champion or 6-year-old Orchidee Van Dorperheide hold all the talent and promise of a bright international career.
Whatever the level and the objective, all are horses ready for high level competition, well in their head with genetics ensuring successful career change in breeding at the end of their sporting career for mares and stallions.
As far as breeding is concerned, but also “betting on the future”, the collection of embryos is particularly precious: a future full sister of a World Cup winner (Tobago Z), a granddaughter or grandson of a Ratina Z clone with the handsome Emerald for father, a Chacco-Blue, the stallion of the year with an approved stallion’s full sister, a Dominator 2000 Z, a must today etc. A dream that will come true for some on December 12th, when the final (but virtual) hammer blow will fall on the platform www.theauction.online. We will also follow with curiosity the bidding on the only yearling of the collection, Noemie d’Ecaussines, whose appearance at The Auction® is already the second time… But the first time… she wasn’t born. She was sold for €40,000 as an embryo at Act I of the Hong Kong auction.
And it’s not over yet; the now online catalogue will welcome more surprises in the coming days.
All these lots will therefore be auctioned online on the platform www.theauction.online from 12 noon (CET) on December 10 until 9 p.m. (CET) on December 12, 2020.
