Bulldog Racing’s Alpha Bettor arrived in the nick of time to capture Friday’s $150,000 Grade 2 Autumn Stakes, at Woodbine.

A chestnut son of Alphabet Soup trained by Dan Vella and ridden by Justin Stein, Alpha Bettor arrived at the 1 1/16-mile ‘Poly’ stake off a narrow front-running defeat in the Grade 3 Durham Cup to Autumn rival James Street.

Alpha Bettor raced from third position in the Autumn as Occasional View set splits of :24.97 and :48.93 while under pressure from Pender Harbour.
