The 2026 National Bromont Fall Competition concluded Sunday at the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park with Adrien Lemieux of Granby, QC riding Roger Deslauriers’s Impec Champeix, a 2018 Selle Français by Corrado du Moulin to its third Grand Prix victory in Québec this season. The horse/rider combination, who have been partnered together in competition since 2024, are currently sitting in the top spot of Quebec’s 1.40/1.45m ranking.
The pair, who were first on the course designed by Quebec’s Charles Faubert, clocked out clean in 70.220, one of the fastest times of the first round. Going first again in the jump-off, Lemieux & Impec Champeix delivered a second clear round in 39.170, setting a time that left their opponents with only one option: beat the clock to claim the victory.
None of the five remaining horse-and-rider combinations could match their time with a faultless jump-off, leaving Lemieux & Impec Champeix at the top of the leaderboard for a third time this season.
“I decided at the last minute to enter the Grand Prix,” explained Lemieux after his win. “Because I was a late addition, it meant I had to go first. [This horse] is getting very consistent in the ring at this level and thankfully we went clear and on to the jump-off. Then we had to put at least a little pressure on everyone else as we went first in the jump-off. But I think we managed to turn nicely around the whole course – just fast enough to put the pressure on. I’m very pleased with the horse and I’m also very happy that although this was a smaller show, the organizers decided to keep it running. Everyone loves this venue as it has so much potential, but to have an “A” circuit show at this time of the year in Bromont when the colours are changing and the atmosphere is so fantastic – it’s really special. Thank you to Kristel and the whole team, hopefully we will be here again in the fall next year.”
It was the pair’s second Grand Prix victory on home soil this season. After claiming their first-ever Grand Prix win at International Bromont earlier in 2026, Lemieux and Impec Champeix added another at the Concours hippique de Lévis in September before closing out their Quebec show season on another high.

Lefebvre Captures National Bromont Fall Open Welcome
Four horse and rider combinations qualified for the second round of the National Bromont Fall Open Welcome on Friday September 18th, 2026. Sabrina Lefebvre and two of her mounts, RF Most Wanted and Norris; Catherine Dechenault and Louise Dubois’s Nelson Van de Maltahoeve and Alexandra Mitchell with her own Casallco Aurora, the stage was set for an all female podium.
First to go on the jump-off Dechenault signed a clean second round with a time of 47.910 seconds, leaving the door open to beat the time. Going second, Sabrina Lefebvre and RF Most Wanted clocked out with a fast 43.150 seconds that would ultimately prove impossible to beat.
“It was great that they had the Autumn show running this year,” commented Lefevbre. “The courses were very well built–fair for everyone, and confidence building for the Grand Prix. I had three horses in the class each at very different ages and stages. RF Most Wanted who won the class loves coming to Bromont and we all love the huge ring. We will be back!”
Steve Paquette of St-Joachim, QC, who took the victory aboard Jatoba during the Hunter Derby presented by Lise Martin. Laurie-Anne Grenon of Sainte-Julie, QC, secured second place with Eager EBH Z while Laurence Lafrenière of Mont-Saint-Grégoire, QC, completed the podium in third with Kadence K Van’t Kattenheye.
