Dressage Canada is pleased to announce an exciting clinic opportunity with two-time Canadian Olympian and certified Equine Canada Competition Coach Specialist, Jacqueline Brooks.
Generously hosted by Brookhaven Dressage Inc. of Newmarket, Ontario, the clinic is scheduled for October 10 – 11, 2013, with a special focus on youth and development riders looking to represent Canada internationally.
This opportunity is being offered as part of a new initiative which will see Canadian high performance athletes offering their time and talent to support future dressage athletes achieve success in the international ring.
Brooks has over 20 years of experience as a competitor, trainer and coach in the sport at both the national and international level. She’s an active high performance athlete competing on the world stage, most recently earning top 15 ranking in the world at the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Final, held April 24-28 in Gothenburg, Sweden. She has trained 15 horses to the Grand Prix level, as well as qualified for six Canadian teams including the Pan American Games, World Equestrian Games, two World Cup Finals and two Olympic Games and is the head trainer at Brookhaven Dressage.
The focus for the clinic is youth; however registrations from development riders at any level looking to develop further in the sport will also be accepted. Priority for lessons slots for this clinic will be given first to youth athletes (FEI Junior, FEI Young Rider, FEI U25).Recent scores will be used to determine the order of priority from the youth registrations received. Please remember to submit a copy of your best technical test result from 2013 with your registration.
