The German rider edged the Irishman Shane Sweetnam with Alejandro to take the winners spoils of the €300,000 grand prix on the beach.

Two Canadians were top-10: Mario Deslauriers and Bardolina (7th) and Eric Lamaze with Dieu Merci Van T & L (10th).
