Today was Woody’s first training camp of 2016! Selena started training with Jonathon Millar last fall as he and his dad Ian are conveniently based just an hour north of Balsam Hall and today the whole team was able to benefit from his show jumping expertise.
As Monday is our horses’ day off, we were able to stay and watch the other sessions, which I really enjoyed and I came home very inspired. There’s nothing like the first few training camps and the first few gallops to get you pumped for the season. Today we are back doing dressage then a bit of cross country tomorrow and dressage once more before he heads to Wellington for the eventing show case there. Selena, Jessica and Kyle will be the Canadian representatives and there is live streaming so I expect everyone to be watching.
