We are having a working student crisis. Every few years we get caught out when a student unexpectedly has to leave. In every case we are sorry to see them go and in this case we will surely miss Jacline Gnidec, who has been a wonderful addition to the team for the last 18 months.

We are looking forward to our new students who have already enrolled for later in 2016, but we would be thrilled to add someone before February. The place is always busy with an eclectic mix of tasks and horses. This is not a paid position, but we do offer full training board for you and your horse, a value of over $2150 a month and up to six lessons a week. The atmosphere in the barn is excellent and we are looking for one more dedicated fun person to join one of the most successful teams in Canada. Email Eventer6@gmail.com for more information.

Today was day two for the OTTBs. They trotted and cantered beautifully and were introduced to their first pole on the ground. Might as well start the way you mean to go on. I am posting Rumshaker’s first trot over a pole. Of course, Selena doesn’t want to go to Florida and leave them behind now she has ridden them. She is having way too much fun! I am under duress to change “Plenty of Benny” to “Benny the Jet.” I must admit it’s very tempting but I am not sure about name changing. Is it unlucky?

I must say I am besotted with them both. I know we might have to sell one, but I can no more choose between them now than I could the day I first saw them both.
