Equine Canada is pleased to announce Sara Duncan of Oshawa, ON has been selected as the winner of EC’s “CHANCE OF A LICENCE-TIME” Contest.
Through the “CHANCE OF A LICENCE-TIME” Contest, EC invited horse enthusiasts nationwide to get into the Olympic spirit by creating and submitting designs around the theme of “Ride to Rio” for the 2016 EC Sport Licence Card.
Ultimately, the panel of judges at EC chose Duncan’s design as the winning entry, making it the exclusive design on the front of the 2016 EC Sport Licence Card, distributed to over 20,000 Sport Licence Holders across Canada.
Duncan titled her design “Canadian Proud” and describes it as being created with the word ‘proud’ in mind.
“I know all Canadians are proud to be Canadian, so I wanted the image to feel the same way,” explained Duncan. “The image to me shows how proud, strong and creative Canadians are and that we are ready to take on the 2016 Rio Olympics and bring home the gold!”
Duncan’s design (pictured below) was unveiled during a special presentation held Nov. 6 at Equine Canada’s official booth at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto, ON.
“I am honoured to have my design chosen to be used on the 2016 cards, and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did while making it. I look forward to seeing it during the 2016 show season,” said Duncan, who was onsite during the unveiling at the Royal. “I’m excited I was able to design this image for the year of the Olympics. So let’s Ride to Rio! Thank you Equine Canada for this opportunity.”
EC congratulates Duncan on her winning entry and thanks all participants for their support and engagement in this contest. To see more CHANCE OF A LICENCE-TIME Contest entries, visit www.equinecanada.ca/contest.
