Dressage Canada (DC) has announced the election process for three committee chair positions to take effect in 2016:

  • Athletes’ Council Chair
  • Athletes’ Council Vice-Chair
  • Finance and Fundraising Committee Chair

Nominees must have experience with not-for-profit committees, such as one or more years working on a Dressage Canada or equivalent committee. Each successful nominee will be elected for a three-year term, commencing January 1, 2016, and will represent the committee on the DC Board for the term of their office.

In addition to the requirements listed above, nominees for the Athletes’ Council Chair or Vice-Chair positions, must either be current DC Athletes’ Council members, or be nominated by two current members. In order to be nominated by current members, nominees must have been a short or long listed athlete within the past five years, or have represented Canada at an Olympic Games or FEI World Equestrian Games.
