you're listening to an article from horse sport.com. lorraine hill is dressage canada volunteer of the month by: dressage canada |. dressage canada has named lorraine hill of lethbridge, alta. its volunteer of the month for may for her endless dedication to furthering the sport of dressage in her community and beyond. hill has been active in dressage for more than 30 years, first as an internationally recognized competitor, then as a coach and judge, and now as an enthusiastic volunteer. she was a founding member of the chinook country alberta dressage association (cc/ada), which was established in 1984. she served multiple terms as chairperson of this southern alberta dressage group and is now entering her third term as the chairperson of the alberta dressage association (ada). advertisement scroll to continue with content hill played an integral part in bringing equine canada gold level competition to southern alberta, with the cc/ada summer show now welcoming competitors for the 28th year. in addition, she has spent countless hours keeping the affairs of the ada humming along, and the sport would not have grown into the thriving discipline it is in the province today without her many contributions. hill was named to the lethbridge sports hall of fame in 2000 for her success indressage. she was the first rider from the small alberta town to reach the grand prix level. dressage canada extends a sincere thank you to hill for her incredible contributions to dressage and everything she has given to the sport.
