Canadian Olympians Kyle Carter and Madison Park were second in the CIC3* division at the 2014 Poplar Place Farm September Horse Trials, held September 11–14 in Hamilton, GA.
Cater, originally of Calgary, AB, who represented Canada riding Madison Park, a 16-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, sat in second throughout the entire competition. With a score of 57.10 following dressage, the pair added two time faults in the jumping round and 20.40 cross country time penalties two finish with a score of 79.50 for second overall.
In the CIC2* division Lesley Grant-Law, who is currently based in Ocala, FL, added 22.40 cross country time penalties to her dressage score of 50.90 to finish in sixth place overall, with 73.30, riding What Law, her nine-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding sired by Mill Law.
