Equine Canada is pleased to be able to offer a new opportunity for stewards to upgrade or maintain their certification. The Fédération Équestre du Québec is hosting a French only National Steward Clinic in Shawiningan, QC on November 1, 2014, that is open to individuals interested in pursuing stewarding or who are working towards gaining their accreditation.
The clinic offers an exciting opportunity to work with a highly qualified and experienced Canadian steward Patricia Chalmers, giving participants an incredible chance to learn from one of the best.
Chalmers, FEI Jumper Steward and EC Senior General Steward, has acted as an FEI steward at international competitions, including the World Equestrian Games 2010, London Olympics 2012, Spruce Meadows, Bromont, Angelstone and more.
The clinic will be held at the Gouverneur Auberge, Centre de Congrès in Shawinigan, Québec on November 1st, at 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
More information and registration forms here.
The clinic will be held in French only. Registrants will be provided all course material on a flash drive and may bring a laptop computer.
Current Equine Canada licensed stewards may use this clinic for updating or upgrading purposes. This clinic will be used for jumper specific and general stewarding upgrading or refreshing. Prospective stewards, coaches and competitors are welcome to attend this clinic, and may list it as part of a future application for EC General Steward status. EC certified instructors and coaches may count this clinic for three hours of updating.
