It is with great sadness that Spruce Meadows announces the passing of Luigi, a beautiful Dutch Warmblood gelding ridden and owned by Langley, BC’s Andrea Strain.
After a fall in the All Canada Ring, Luigi was taken to the Spruce Meadows Veterinary Care Centre, and was assessed by the Veterinary Team. After the Strains met with the Veterinary Team and Luigi’s injuries were assessed, it was determined that, in the best interest of Luigi, he be put to rest.
Our deepest sympathies go out to Andrea, and her family. Luigi will be sorely missed.
