The following statement has been issued by the RAWF regarding the COVID-19 situation and the status of the event:
The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, like many events in Toronto and around the world, continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. The health and safety of our patrons, staff, exhibitors, competitors, partners and the community at large are our top priorities, and we will adhere to all recommendations put forward by the government and health officials. We remain in close contact with our partners at the Province of Ontario, City of Toronto, Exhibition Place, and our colleagues at other major events in order to plot an appropriate path forward.
At this time, under the direction and guidance of The Royal’s Board of Directors, our staff continues to diligently prepare for the 2020 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair to be held this November 6th to 15th at Exhibition Place, Toronto.
Since 1922, The Royal has played an important part in creating economic opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs in the agricultural, equestrian and food industries and beyond. We are proud of our role as chief advocate for these industries, and will continue to make every effort to showcase them to the best of our abilities.
Events like The Royal constitute an important part of the fabric of Toronto and demonstrate the importance of sharing spaces and experiences with our friends, families and neighbours. If we all continue to follow the guidance of our nation’s healthcare leaders we can anticipate a return to normal in the near future.
