Some local colour.

Saturday was a fun day. The horses got some turnout and rest. We had yummy breakfast at Polly’s team room in Marlborough. Everyone wanted a proper English breaky. Mine was vegetarian (with vegetarian sausages) which was a first for me. They were pretty good. I was tempted by Devon clotted cream and strawberry jam on a scone.

Then it was off to the outlet mall in Swindon for jog up outfits with our fashion leader Hawley Bennett;) It’s always entertaining. We did find two nice shirts. Not gonna give it away, you’ll just have to wait and see.

In the evening Jackie made us a delicious dinner. Chicken pie for the carnivores and a veg version for AM and I. Grilled vegetables and excellent bread grilled with cheese and butter.

After dinner they all decided it would be a good idea to go to the pub in Marlborough to watch a band. It was great fun especially when coach Canada, Clayton Fredericks, stepped up the mic and sang “Summer of 69!” I may have overindulged a little;) Hopefully none of my teammates blog any of the details of last night lol!
