I left dressage camp with Clayton feeling very accomplished. This year is our year. Woody has muscled up so much lately and is ready mentally to go to work. During my warm up alone I had some lovely changes and nice extended work. Once in the ring with Clayton we worked a lot on straightness, activity behind (the never ending battle) and accuracy in terms of preparation on each movement. We, of course, had to start the lesson by telling me to SIT UP and look as elegant as the horse you have created!
Still, it was super nice to show him what I have worked on so hard over the past few months with the help of Jacquie Brooks and Bruce Davidson.
I’m looking forward to seeing what we can produce this weekend at Wellington.
Xc was AWESOME! Woody was amazing! We didn’t jump huge but did lots of difficult lines, turns, ect thru the quarry over corners, angles and then the water. He did any strides I wanted. Clayton was pleased.
