Here I sit in Toronto airport, red eyed and bushy tailed, half way to Welly World. There isn’t any quick and easy way to get from Vancouver diagonally across the continent to Florida; hence the dreaded overnight traverse.
Wake me up, triple grande
It promises to be a fine time in Welly World over the next two weeks, with all kinds of trouble to get into. I CAN’T WAIT to see Mark Phillips’ creation on the world’s flattest XC track. I’m curious to see how many entries turn up to brave the crocodile-infested water complex this coming weekend.
Dressage is absolutely hopping this winter. Sr. B must be feeling at last that it was worth building it, since the DQs have finally come. With it being a Pan Am year, the entries in the small tour are insane, and with the GP being part of the Pan Am recipe, the GP division is fairly bursting too. What I can’t figure out is why a couple of Canada’s biggest stars are showing national and not CDI…stay tuned as I dig my way to whatever rationale is behind their big non-qualifying scores.
I have to catch my next napping opportunity now on the plane down to West Palm. I’ll be back with some pics and early reports over the next few days.
