British eventer, William Fox-Pitt is in hospital and under observation for a head injury.
It is reported that Fox-Pitt fell off his mount, Reinstated, during the seven-year-old CCI** at the FEI WBFSH Championships, a world championship competition for young horses, in France on October 17th.
British Eventing posted an update on his condition on October 18th, which stated that he was in stable condition, but still under observation.
The Irish Sport Horse gelding, owned by Teresa Stopford Stackville and Catherine Butler, was not injured in the fall.
