The Winter Equestrian Festival, held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, FL, along with the sport of show jumping, will be included in an in-depth feature on the highly regarded 60 Minutes Sports. The episode airs tonight on Showtime, Tuesday, April 5, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The 60 Minutes Sports feature will show how Wellington has become the winter equestrian capital of the world and explain more about the international sport of show jumping. Interviews with riders including Olympic gold medalist Beezie Madden, Georgina Bloomberg, Jessica Springsteen, and Jennifer Gates will highlight the commitment, hard work, passion, and love that riders have for the sport of show jumping.
Footage of the $500,000 Rolex Grand Prix CSI 5* will be included as they explain the finer points of the sport, the rules, and the skills needed to succeed. A tour of the town with Matt Varney of Wellington Equestrian Realty is included, along with history and background of WEF with Equestrian Sport Productions CEO Mark Bellissimo.
