The Honourable David Onley celebrates Therapeutic Riding at The Royal

The Ontario Therapeutic Riding Association (OnTRA) will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a Musical Ride at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, in the Spirit of the Horse area, on Wednesday, November 12th at 4:30p.m.

 

The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, accompanied by Her Honour, Mrs. Ruth Ann Onley, will present ribbons to the riders and cut OnTRA’s 25th Anniversary Cake. He will also tour the Fair with incoming Fair president Gayle McPherson before attending a reception to honour the Silver medal-winning Canadian show jumping team from the Beijing Olympics.

 

Other special guests will include Dr Rob McLaughlin, President of the Royal Winter Fair & representatives from the Ontario Equestrian Federation.

 

Riders from the Community Association for Riding for the Disabled will present the musical ride.

 

OnTRA represents 40 Therapeutic Riding Centres in all parts of Ontario.
