The 18th edition of the Bromont International Driving ended today with victories for Canadians Catherine Levasseur in the horse single Division and Gerben Steenbeek in the Horses Four-in-Hand division.
In second place after the dressage, Catherine Levasseur took the lead of the CAI2* single horse division yesterday, executing the best marathon course of the division. She started the final event of the combined driving competition, cones, with a little less than a 10-point lead today. Last on the course in her division, Catherine Levasseur added 4.10 penalty points for a total score of 151.09, her best result in international competition to date with her mare Fizz Forever.
In the CAI2* Pony single, driver Barbara Chapman, from Michigan, kept her lead with a perfect course in the third phase, staying in first place with Maduro.
Quebecker Jérôme Drolet won the CAI2* Horses in pairs with MF Dancer and Azzuro.
Ontario driver Gerben Steenbeek took the victory in the CAI2* Horse Four-in-Hand Division, the highest level of competition presented at the 18th edition of the Bromont International Driving.
Marcus Holzinger, a 19-year-old from Michigan, completely dominated the intermediate Horse Single Division. The young driver ended up winning the best dressage, the best marathon, as well as the best Cones course, across all intermediate divisions.
