Saturday was another exciting day at Kingsview Partners Dressage at Devon, with both National and CDI classes during the day. The much anticipated “Saturday night under the lights” Grand Prix and Grand Prix Musical Freestyles took place in the Dixon Oval later in the evening.

The FEI Grand Prix Freestyle CDI-W, Sponsored by Kingsview Partners, was an electrifying event with 15 horse and rider pairs who qualified for the class in yesterday’s FEI Grand Prix CDI-W—in the end, Kevin Kohmann earned the coveted top placing aboard Dünensee, a 2009 black Hanoverian gelding by Dancier out of Doublette bred by Dr. Monika Fartmann and owned by Diamante Farms.

Following in second place was Camille Carier Bergeron and Finnländerin, a 2010 mare bred by Xavier Marie and owned by Gilles Bergeron and Camille Carier Bergeron.

Coming in third place was FEI Amateur rider, Christina Morin-Graham riding her 2009 mare, DSP Dauphin, who was bred by Ralph Vogel.

Riders competing in the FEI Grand Prix Freestyle CDI-W, Sponsored by Kingsview Partners vie for qualifying points for the FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final, set to take place in Basel, Switzerland, from April 2 to 6, 2025. As a cherished fixture on the qualifier calendar for one of the top international dressage events each year, elite riders from all over the nation converge on this historic venue, eager to compete in one of North America’s premier settings. Celebrated for its exhilarating atmosphere, Kevin Kohmann and Dünensee drew from the excitement of the overflowing grandstands in the Dixon Oval, delivering a performance that set them up as contenders for the World Cup title next spring, achieving more than just a blue ribbon.

Earlier in the evening was the CDI3* FEI Grand Prix Special. Ali Patasky took home the blue ribbon piloting Inxs, a 2013 bay gelding by Everdale out of Whinca, bred by J.A.M. Van Der Horst-Meeus and owned by Ali Potasky and Kathy Priest. This was the duo’s first Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special, making it an especially memorable win.

In the Wheeler arena, class 428.1, the FEI or Equivalent Test of Choice sponsored by Hilltop Farms hosted several horse and rider pairs. Lauren Chumley earned the top placing with a score of 65.882% aboard Nikolas, a 2011 gelding by Novalis T out of Capina Mia, bred by Ingrid Schmidt and owned by Melissa Dowling.
