Following the resignation Luc Fournier, CEO, François Duffar, chairman, and members Julie Payette, Rene Perreault and Linda Heathcot, the Board of Directors of the Organizing Committee of the FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2018 (COJEM) has elected Rosaire Houde, as interim chairman.
A Board member since the inception of COJEM, Houde will work with the Board to fulfill a thorough analysis of the current status of the Games, after which, they will issue recommendations for a successful Games.
Susan Burkman, a resident of Bromont who previously served on the Board, has been appointed as a special advisor to lead the analysis. Burkman has been involved for many years in equestrian sport, and has had a long and successful career in corporate financial affairs. The results of the analysis will enable the Board to define the best and most efficient path forward for WEG 2018.
The Board also passed a resolution to appoint new directors to fill the vacancies created by the departing Board members. The selection process and appointment of new members will commence as soon as practicable, and will be done in accordance with the bylaws of COJEM.
