The ninth edition of the FISU World University Equestrian Championship took place in Sangju, Korea, October 30th – November 2nd.

More than 100 participants from 19 countries, representing three continents battled for the university gold in dressage and show jumping and combined team competition.

The Canadian team, consisting of Holly Hayman, Brittany DesCotes and Jaclyn Duff, finished 10th in dressage, 13th in show jumping and 14th in combined team. Belgium took first in dressage, while Korea won the gold in show jumping and Ireland won gold in the combined team compeition.

Hayman was the top placed Canadian in dressage, in ninth place, followed by DesCotes in 44th and Duff in 47th. In show jumping, DesCotes placed 23rd. Hayman was 33rd and Duff was 52nd. Hayman was 17th in the combined team competition, with DesCotes 37th and Duff 53rd.

With the completion of this FISU World University Championship, the 2010 WUC year comes to an end. Twenty-eight FISU Championships were hosted this year worldwide, bringing University Sport to all continents.
