After the first Youhorse.auction one and a half weeks ago, Mario Everse from Waddinxveen and Alan Waldman from Putten keep their foot on the accelerator. The second edition is planned for May 5-7, again with young horses, but now also with several under saddle. “In view of the relatively good prices offered in the first auction and the positive reactions of clients, we stay optimistic. We will again auction about forty horses and this time a more varied lot,” the two men explained.
The videos have already been created. “We did not need long to decide what the next auction should look like. A collection with young showjumping horses and, in addition, several 4-year-olds that can already show a few jumps under saddle and even a few older, very well schooled horses, suitable for different riders. Two of them are even shown by our own daughter, Mila, who is just 15 years old. We noticed a demand for these, which we are trying to meet. And then we became more daring and also selected a few really special horses,” says Mario Everse.
Movements and free jumping of the young horses are shown on video, but for the 4-year-olds they added something extra. “We have several 4-year-olds who were saddle-broken last year and not ridden since. We filmed these both in free jumping and taking a few fences under the rider. They are still too green to jump a full course, but you can already see what they are made of. In fact, it worked out remarkably well. We hope that the clients will share our view.”
With Youhorse.auction Everse and Waldman hope to appeal to a broad, international public. There are also candidates for buyers with a moderate budget, the collection includes several pleasant riding horses with some show experience, as well as young promises with a great future before them. The fact that the export of horses has become a little easier is good news for the buyers. The majority of the recently auctioned horses have already left for their new stables abroad.
The second online auction will open on Tuesday, May 5 at 12.00 hours (continental time) and will close on Thursday, May 7 from 19.30 hours in groups of five horses. Anyone interested in bidding can register at www.youhorse.auction.
