Chrystine J. Tauber will take up the reins when David O’Connor steps down as president of the United States Equestrian Federation next year, a position he has held since 2004.
Tauber was tagged for the position at the 2012 USEF Mid -Year Meeting in August, after the USEF Nominating Committee selected her from a pool of candidates in a unanimous decision.
Tauber’s four-year term will begin in January 2013. The Wellington, Florida resident has been active in the equestrian industry for 50 years, and has experience as a rider, trainer, judge and course designer. She is also a published author, and has had her hand in equine marketing and management, as the owner and president of Equistar International.
For his part, O’Connor will take on the role of US Eventing Team coach.
